Communications Cooling a Wireless Communications Card Cabinet Torrington worked with a major communications OEM to increase airflow in a card cabinet without increasing noise when their current fan tray maxed-out on performance. Our design team changed the blower form factor and layout from four centrifugal blowers to a three-blower system while redesigning the fan tray housing to reduce aerodynamic noise. The resulting system increased airflow by 59 percent, while maintaining the same form factor and reducing noise levels.

Clean Room Air-filtration Units A major supplier of clean room filtration products turned to Torrington to improve the performance of its next generation products. The result is a two-foot by four-foot module that fits in a T-bar ceiling grid in Clean Rooms. Optimized for easy installation, the unit is the quietest product in this industry today and one of the simplest. The Torrington built unit contains a HEPA (High Efficiency Particle Abatement) filter, a blower and a pre-filter designed to run for years without failure.
