Business Equipment Portable Computer Projector A major supplier of portable presentation projectors needed to reduce their next generation units' noise level by 7 dB and its cabinet size by two-thirds. Our engineers worked with their design team to integrate a bifurcated centrifugal blower and in the process reduced system fans from three to one. This not only met the reduced noise requirements, but also allowed the supplier to add features and shrink unit size. Electronic Projection System A major supplier of three-lens projection systems next generation product utilized a single lens that separated color and produced a much higher lumen output. The initial design was very noisy due to a large number of cooling fans. Torrington solved the problem with a redesigned system layout and improved fan module that put the air exactly where it was needed, resulting in fewer fans and a 10 dB noise reduction.
